• The system can produce convincing videos of various lengths and styles, with customizable body proportions and aspect ratios.

• It can handle a wide range of inputs, from cartoons to complex human poses, while preserving style-specific motion characteristics.

• Trained on 19,000 hours of video, it even allows for modifying movements in existing footage.

Despite 10 U.S. states passing laws against AI impersonation, the challenges of detection and regulation remain significant.

Why it matters: While ByteDance has yet to release OmniHuman-1 publicly, the demos have effectively blurred the line between real and AI-generated content. As similar powerful systems become widely available, society will face an urgent need to verify authenticity in a world where anyone can create flawless fake videos.
